ACOM POLICY 434 - COORDINATION OF BENEFITS AND THIRD-PARTY LIABILITY

Purpose Statement: The purpose of this Policy is to specify Contactor requirements for Coordination of Benefit (COB) activities and Third-Party Liability (TPL) recoveries.

Reason for Opening: Policy was revised to clarify processes for provider audits and credit balance audits in accordance with Third-Party liability requirements, as outlined in 42 CFR 433.139.
